The Project

ABOUT

During her internship with the Congressional Black Caucus Institute, Lena supported the Global African Diaspora Initiative (GADI), which works to expand African American participation and representation within the United Nations and other international forums. Her work exposed her to global issues involving human rights, democratic governance, sustainable development, and the experiences of the African diaspora, while giving her insight into how research, policy, and international partnerships can help elevate underrepresented voices on the global stage.
